National Vietnam Veterans Museum
The
original "Buy a Brick" campaign, which ended in 2006, was introduced
to raise funds for the relocation of the Museum on Phillip Island. The
project provided an opportunity for veterans, their families and members
of the community to show their support for the museum.
In appreciation, representative bricks in the form of bronze coloured
plaques bearing Family, Organisation or Unit name’s, are now displayed
on a wall in the Museum for all to see.
The Museum Board would like to thank all those who purchased the bricks
and thereby helped build the Phillip Island facility.
The current Buy a Brick program is in place for the ongoing development
of the Museum. Being a ‘not for profit’ organization, we must
continue to raise revenue for the maintenance and development. Plaques
representing bricks purchased for this program will also be exhibited
in the Museum.
